Writing Challenge Day 27

I was going through my Bible one evening after a long exhausting day and came across this scripture which says “O generation of vipers, how can ye being evil speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”

Matthew 12:34

This leads me to what I want to talk about today, oh yes, the Bible can be really straightforward and doesn’t minces words, that is why it is known as an inspired written word of God and remains true from generation to generation.

The first part of the verse seemed like a hard nut to swallow, but still when you keep reading through it makes sense regardless.

Can we rewind a little, this verse actually came up when Jesus had to speak to the Pharisees who heard people saying things like “is this not the son of David “ and with so much doubt in their hearts JESUS said a few more things before getting to this verse. However my point is centered on this verse with regards to our daily lives and understanding.

“Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks”

You cannot be storing up hatred in your heart and expect to pretend to be good to someone, because it will end up eating you up. Bitterness stored up in the heart is not good and it is somewhat detrimental to our health as human beings.

You can’t expect to be empty and when I mean empty I simply mean not rooted in the word and come out in public to say vein things which do not align with the word of God.

Constantly reading the word of God and asking God for a clear and deeper understanding will reveal so many truths about the word of God which will permit you to interpret those words to the rest of the world.

People seek to know the truth about the word of God, and you can only say what you know is right, not vein things.

Some people just come out to “preach” without proper preparation and at some point makes you say unreasonable and unrealistic things about the scriptures, your listers who are really keen will notice your mistakes and sometimes go behind and really say hurtful things about you which you may take to heart, but think about it this way if you had prepared yourself well enough, you wouldn’t be in this mess in the first place and you would have passed on the message of God’s word with so much delight.

The Bible says “Commit your plans into God’s hands” only Him can other your steps even when you make your own plans.

Thanks for reading.
